What We Offer: Flexible In-Home Services Based on Your Needs
We provide non-medical, private-duty home care tailored to each individual’s routine and preferences. Our 2025 Care Plan includes two simple service categories:
Standard Personal Care ($37/hour)
For everyday support and safety, including:
- Bathing, grooming and hygiene assistance
- Meal preparation and dining support
- Mobility assistance and walking supervision
- Medication reminders and cueing
- Light housekeeping and laundry
- Social engagement and companionship
- Transportation to appointments or errands (mileage billed separately)
- Pet care assistance (walking, feeding, etc.)
Minimum of 1-hour visits required. Standard care is available from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily.
Night Owl Services ($42/hour)
For overnight or late evening support from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m., including:
- Bedtime routines and overnight supervision
- Toileting or incontinence support
- Assistance with nighttime mobility
- Reassurance and companionship throughout the night
No hidden fees or level-of-care pricing—just one flat hourly rate per service category. Discounts available for couples receiving care together.
Real-Time Updates with Family Room Portal
Every Hillcrest Caring Companions family has access to our Family Room Portal—a secure, digital hub for scheduling, communication and care updates. You can view caregiver profiles, see visit logs, message staff and stay connected from anywhere.
Serving the Greater Omaha Metro Area
We support individuals in Douglas, Sarpy, Cass, Saunders and Washington Counties. Care can be provided in your loved one’s home, assisted living apartment, or retirement community. We also collaborate with other Hillcrest services for seamless transitions between home care, rehab, hospice and skilled nursing.
Funding Options and Medicaid Waiver Services
While Medicare and private medical insurance do not cover in-home personal care, Hillcrest Caring Companions is:
- A Nebraska Medicaid Waiver approved provider
- A recognized Veterans Affairs (VA) partner
- Connected with Eastern Nebraska Office on Aging (ENOA) and League of Human Dignity
We will help you explore funding options, including long-term care insurance and private-pay discounts.
Caregivers with Heart
Our team includes Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), Personal Care Aides (PCAs) and Companion Specialists—many of whom were first inspired by caring for their own loved ones. Caregivers supporting clients with dementia receive specialized dementia training to enhance communication, comfort and consistency.
We carefully match caregivers to clients based on personality, background and needs to ensure trust and compatibility.
Family Caregiver Support: Get Paid to Care for a Loved One
Did you know that a family member can be trained and paid to provide care for their loved one at home? Through Nebraska’s Medicaid Waiver program, Hillcrest Caring Companions can hire, train and support a family member to serve as an in-home caregiver. We handle onboarding, training, scheduling and ongoing supervision—so you can focus on what matters most. This program is ideal for spouses, adult children or relatives who are already helping with daily routines like bathing, meals, errands or companionship.
